An Atlantic City teacher was fired for breaking up a fight between two 6th grade students. New York Avenue School says the teacher used excessive force when he restrained the bully.

Phillip Eisenstein said he was doing what he had to do to protect the student who was getting bullied and beaten up, according to what I read at pressofatlanticcity.com.

Teachers can also get in trouble for NOT breaking up fights. What should a teacher do?
