Bad news for Atlantic City, great news for Philadelphia.

Live! Hotel & Casino will become Philadelphia's second casino, and 13th casino in Pennsylvania.  Construction will take place in South Philadelphia near all of the sporting arenas, and could take over a year to complete.

According to The Press of Atlantic City, 'The Live! plan calls for a 200,000 square-foot property aimed at attracting 8.5 million visitors per year. The project includes a hotel, 2,500-space garage, 2,000 slots and electronic table games, and 125 traditional table games.'

Atlantic City is still trying to get away from being primarily known as a gaming town, which will take some time. But during this restoration period, will another casino in Philadelphia hurt Atlantic City's further profits?
