National Marbles Tournament
Not only did the first National Marbles Tournament happen in Wildwood in 1928, it's never been done anywhere else.

The Discovery of Teflon
While working in Salem County's Jackson Laboratory, Dr. Roy Plunkett is said to have accidently discovered Teflon. The "non-stick" chemical is used on pots and pans and even rockets!

Atlantic City's own N. Joseph Woodland pattented the bar code in 1952.

The Mason jar is named after its creator, Vineland's John Landis Mason.
