I'll be attending an exciting event at the all-new Playground in Atlantic City this week called Dinner with Divas. It's an evening of networking with professional women while enjoying cocktails and conversation. It's always great when the area's influential women can get together. So I thought I'd take a minute to reflect on a few of the power divas that inspire me.

You can join me and mingle at Dinner with Divas! It's happening Thursday, May 28 at the all-new Playground, One Atlantic Ocean in Atlantic City (formerly Pier Shops at Caesars).

    Emily Schuman

The creator of the massively popular blog Cupcakes and Cashmere built her empire from the ground up. Now Schuman is a two-time author and a new mother who has morphed her love for style into a lifestyle brand. I love her seemingly effortless approach to everyday glamour and am a faithful visitor to her website.

    Sheryl Sandberg

The technology executive, activist, and COO of Facebook is one of the most influential women in the business world. Her book Lean In really helped me understand (and fight for) my opportunities as a working woman. It's an amazing guide for how to achieve career goals and also encourages men who want to treat women more fairly both in the boardroom and in life.

    Taylor Swift

She may be the world's biggest female pop star but Taylor Swift is not at all superficial. In fact, she runs Taylor Swift, Inc. by herself. It's rumored that she signs every check that goes out and oversees every one that comes in. She is a marketing genius constantly teasing and engaging her millions of fans through social media.
