According to Care.com, 30% of Americans are not giving out any tips for the holidays, even though it may be more polite to do so.

Care.com released a survey of 1,400 people who claim that they will not be giving out tips to show their grateful for their service during the year. So people such as doormen, teachers, mailmen, babysitters, etc., may not be receiving an extra tip at all.

See, in my family tips are usually used during the Christmas, holiday season to show how you appreciate their service throughout the year. Its a way of giving thanks. But the reason people are not tipping is not because they are ungrateful, but some don't have the money to afford to tip. There are also some that believe they just don't think it is necessary according to the survey.

Should you tip for this holiday season? Check out the survey here.
